Linda Francis Alcorn was born October 6, 1949 in Urbandale, Iowa the daughter of Melvin Fredrick and Mae Belle (Donahue) Clements.  Linda graduated from Urbandale High School and then worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance for over 30 years. The last 24 years of her life, Linda has lived in Pleasantville, Iowa. She worked as a cook for the Pleasantville School District for 6 years prior to her retirement. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed collecting Betty Boop merchandise, miniatures and antiques.Linda passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Pleasant Care Living Center, in Pleasantville, at the age of 68 years.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Stephen.
Linda is survived by her sister Marlene (Charles) Rains of Pleasantville; nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Stephanie, Chris and Roy; great nephews and niece: Jakob, Taylor, Brenden and Brody and many other family members and friends.
A Memorial Gathering for Linda Alcorn, age 68 of Pleasantville, will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Mason Funeral Home. Linda was cremated and buried at Rest Haven Cemetery in West Des Moines, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Webb Shadle Library.
