James William Bremhorst, 53, of Clive, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at his home.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at St. Pius X Catholic Church where friends may visit beginning at 9:30 a.m. A luncheon will be served following the mass and then burial at Glendale Cemetery.

James was born June 24, 1965, in Des Moines, IA, son of John and Regina “Jean” (Remke) Bremhorst. He received his education in Urbandale where he attended Urbandale High School graduating in 1983. He continued his education at the University of Iowa majoring in accounting. He moved to Chicago where he worked as an Auditor before returning back to Des Moines. He held various jobs and for ten years he worked for Magellan Health.

James enjoyed camping, fishing and attending Iowa Hawkeye sporting events with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father John.

James is survived by his mother Jean Bremhorst, a brother Stephen Bremhorst both of Urbandale and a sister Elizabeth (Ernest) Mitchell of Des Moines, three nephews, Patrick, Sean and Ryan Bremhorst and their mother Kristi.

Memorials may be directed to NAMI of Iowa or St. Pius X Catholic Church.
