Bradley James Bland, 63, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away March 7, 2022 with his loving wife, Cathy, and parents by his side.

Brad was born May 28, 1958 in Davenport, Iowa, to parents Will and Dana Bland. He grew up in Durant and Davenport Iowa. The family moved to Urbandale Iowa his senior year where he graduated in 1976.

He married the love of his life, Cathy Dyer on October 5th, 1989.

His early work years were spent in retail management in Iowa, and Colorado. He later moved back to Iowa and partnered with his brother in law in a painting business.

Brad had a big heart, a kind, humble soul, and a great sense of humor.

He loved spending time with Cathy, cooking, model building, scrolling Pinterest, and reading. He was an avid cat lover and proud cat dad.

He will be remembered lovingly and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Cathy, his parents Dana and Will Bland, sisters Debbie Cook, Wendy Henderson (Kyle), his mother in law Bonnie Dyer, sisters in law Coleen Brown (Joe), Carolyn Ballard (Jack), brothers in law Dan Dyer (Sherri Brown), Joe Dyer, and Andy Dyer (Deb), and many nieces, nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father in law, Donald Dyer, and brother in law, Doug Cook.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
