I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I am deeply saddened by today's events near the football stadium.  I'm shocked and saddened.

I have fond memories of playing in the first game on that field.

I totally agree with you. I am a Tour Guide here in Branson, Missouri & yesterday I got on a Coach & it happened to be from Des Moines. They are all so very upset over this, as they knew the officer from Urbandale, several were crying & it really got to all of us. We all held hands & prayed for these Wonderful men who lost their lives. This tragedy is affecting EVERYONE EVERYWHERE, this needs to STOP. Growing up with a Father who was on the Highway Patrol this really got to me. I wish there was something we all could do to change what is going on in this WORLD. My heart has been broken once again & I'm really getting tired of all of these killings!

It was a shock to me to turn on the local Los Angeles news and hear a report from Urbandale. Such a sad thing right in the heart of town. My thoughts are with everyone there.

This makes me sad beyond words.  We never think things like this can happen to us, or in a place like Urbandale or Des Moines.  My prayers and thoughts are with the Officers, their families and everyone touched by this horrific act.

It is all so senseless. Prayers for the families and community that healing begin.

Not familiar with this message format, but this is for Barbara Ridgeway, '67 Classmate.

It's a small world . . . We're in Branson, too, in the Summer.  I golf with Shoji and my wife works for him.  She's the one who escorts the coaches in.

It was while I was golfing with Shoji Wednesday morning that someone in the foursome brought this up, and I asked, "What area of Des Moines?"

When I got home and found the address of the first shootting, I knew exactly where it is.  I have very fond memories of going through the gate in the Creep's Youtube video.
